"HoT GuY"

Happy Memorial Day! Quote me on this one but NEXT YEAR, we WILL be making the best of our 3 day long weekend. For some reason, we always find ourselves eager to help someone, which in turn, leaves us with 11 or so hours before returning to our normal habitat, and 8 of those hours are indeed, needed for some of us around here! So, here I sit ranting and raving about it, but, really people, your right, it gets me absolutely, NO where! My day, however, did have a lot of memorable events!


#1: We learned how to ride our bikes WITHOUT training wheels!(Well, some of us)
#2: We found out about "HOT GUYS" aka Hawk-eyes!(Addie has always called the Hawkeyes "hot guys" and I cought it on video!!)
#3: For the first time probably EVER in my adult life, I spent at least $100 on ME, MYSELF, and I!
#4: I may have a book writer on my hands!
#5:After Dans UN- canning attempts to help me, we are 1 step closer to actually BOOKING our family Vacation!!


We took the kids to the bike path, because, lets face it, ITS ABOUT TIME they learned to ride their bikes like other BIG kids and without training wheels! Addie Is the funniest little lady! She gets sooo mad but she relentlessly kept getting back on and before you know it, well, wait for it, YESSSSS! She got it! She can now ride her bike like a big kid!!!!!As for Alec, ignoble-y feared or however you say it,  may just need another couple days and he should have it too! Now, Alec, wow, this kid is going to be a good book writer, I can just feel it, OK maybe I'm a little biased, but on a serious note, he goes around writing about everything. I bet i woke up to 7-10 different notes or letter this morning alone! If i was in the right state of mind, I would have kept those, but of coarse, leave it to the brainless mother to throw them away:(  To end the night, I am going to post a funny thought I seen on another blog, which has me thinking, and maybe laughing to myself, but if you think about life today, it makes you think about other stuff too...

Realizing, today is Sunday, not SATURDAY(which has been my schedule ALL day), I will bear you all the "UN wanted" and just keep this brief! Not much has happened since the last post, just a lot of " doings and goings"! So I will just show you!

SPEECHLESS SUNDAYS

At last, SUMMER!

From the mouths of the kids, At last, SUMMER! Whew, what a crazy year it has been too! We just said good bye to the 2010-2011 school year yesterday. As sad as it is (for this means the kids are another year older) I am relieved! We were just too  busy, so, it's always nice to take that single breath and Relax! Now, this being my first blog- I will catch you up to date with all the excitement we encountered over the year:

*Family Vacation: CHICAGO! We all hopped on a train and rode to Chicago. A long eight hour ride turned into ten anticipated hours. Never had taken kids on a long journey like that-would I EVER forget to pack:

                                      * more color books/Activities
                                      *games
                                      *computer
                                      *snacks
                                      *movies
                                      *MY sanity!
                                      *anything to occupy two little bored heathens!

Overall, we enjoyed ourselves, did alot of site seeing, (drove for miles trying to find anywhere we wanted to go - forget making an itinerary) walked the navy pier, discovered all the deliciousness at the Hershey company,went to a CUBS game, and enjoyed Six Flags!

*Addie starts Kindergarten!! (I was definitely sad but, strangely excited)
*Alec starts 2nd grade!! (OMG-I have a second grader, that only means I'm getting OLDER)
*Addie gets sick(strep)
*decided to get the WII-for family fun nights!!
*A visit to the dentist= 4 cavities
*accumulated more debt
*attended a birthday party
*Addie's gets sick(strep)
*Got a new dog- his name is Mac, YAAAY.
*Turned another year  older
*Went back to school
*A visit to the dentist=more cavities
*Addie gets sick(strep)

*accumulated more debt
*Addie joined dance and had two awesome recitals
*Alec had a new found love for "Diary of a wimpy kid" books.
*Attended a birthday party
*I turned 27 (am i old)
*Addie gets sick(strep)
*Addie had some artwork published in the 2011 Artworks display
* Both kids joined Baseball
* Addie's also in soccer
*A visit to the dentist= 7 cavities and a tooth that needs to be pulled:(
*accumulated more debt
*Addie gets sick(strep)
*Alec's bad tooth finally pulled through and it looks good-no-GREAT
*Addie lost her first tooth*accumulated even more debt
*attended a birthday party
*finaly-Dan and I agree on our next vacation

*I now have NO money in my account
*Kids re-united with their dad
*Did I mention the birthday parties?!?
*Finally, a visit to the ENT doctor, Addie will finally get her tonsils out!

Despite all the harsh goings this year, we are all alive and mainly healthy and loving every minute of it!
